CoinMarketCap removes exchanges from calculations

CoinMarketCap has removed exchanges from it’s calculations due to missing it’s mandatory deadline to provide data.

The Diamond Network team believes that the new CoinMarketCap policy will increase the credibility of crypto currencies, and set higher standards for crypto exchanges, leading to more transparent and reliable market data. Unfortunately a lot of projects have suffered from losing their CMC ranking due to their market capitalization being excluded from calculations.

That CoinMarketCap was created in a Queens apartment is not without coincidence. Its proximity to one of the financial capitals of the world meant that the reverberations of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis had a profound impact on the organization’s ethos. Echoing how Bitcoin was conceived as a reaction to the moral hazard of government bailouts, CoinMarketCap has always sought to embody the spirit of self-sovereignty. Read the full article:
