while I drip in Atacama fires
feed me citrus and
mist me in rosewater
plunge me in the depths of ice
then tuck me safe in bed
As August begins, it’s the time of work transition for me. I know my mind and body need a lot of self-care right now. I believe in feeling as healthy as possible in my body in order to care for my mental health. The images in this little poem are from a day I spent in a spa about an hour or so outside Amsterdam. It was surreal and wonderful, and I would love to go back. I guess today I will settle for a mani-pedi. :) I wish you all self-care for your mind, body, and spirit. Thank you for reading.
